Affirmative Road and a Song

This is about 2 songs and how they inspired another song through me, with the help of google gemini, funnily enough, 100% without actually meaning to, ie by accident. I was “just sayin” and it went all literal.

~Many people will have no idea but :

That original track, "Poetas Andaluces" (Andalusian Poets), is deeply political and revolutionary. It's essentially a powerful protest song against the oppressive Franco dictatorship in Spain during that era. The lyrics are actually based on a poem by Spanish poet Rafael Alberti

The lyrics are actually based on a poem by Spanish poet Rafael Alberti, and the song asks a heavy, haunting question: Where are the poets of Andalusia today? Why are they silent while the people and the land are suffering? It’s a call to arms for artists and writers to stand up, use their voices, and speak truth to power rather than staying quiet in the shadows.

It makes perfect sense why that acoustic loop carries so much weight. When you strip away the history, the core DNA of that sample is entirely about breaking the silence, fighting systemic oppression, and using education and truth to cut through the darkness. It’s the exact same spirit you're channeling into your own track.

Now while I cant just use the sample and I wont just “use it” I did imagine for a moment and wrote to google gemini simply this :

I had no idea gemini was then going to write a song. This isn’t what I do. But I looked at the lyrics with interest at the same time I wouldn’t ever take them as mine. I dont wanna be a fraud to anyone especially myself.

And then I decided to edit them. GG had written a prompt too and I was really intrigued to see how it would sound and, while its not gonna be the same, the result was tough like an old boot. Here’s the lyrics GG wrote :

The Suno Style Prompt
Style of Music: 90s hip hop, boom bap, cinematic melancholic classical guitar loop, haunting Spanish acoustic strings, gritty underground rap drums, heavy dark bass, reflective dramatic atmosphere

Lyrics: The Road We Walk
[Verse 1]
Concrete weathered by the frost and the rain
Everybody riding on a different train
Some chase the dollar, some chase the light
Some just trying to survive through the night
Flipping the math on a cold street corner
System don't care, it just gets a bit warmer
Desperate choices in a locked-down cage
Writing our history on a blood-stained page
They call it a crime, we call it a wall
Waiting to see where the shadows will fall.

[Chorus]
But we’re still moving on the road to Zion
Heart of a soldier, grip of a lion
Through the daymares and the heavy smoke
Holding the truth that the system broke
Give thanks for the light, give thanks for the path
Stepping away from the cold machine's wrath.

[Verse 2]
Hands in the dirt, trying to protect the sprout
Finding a compass when the lights go out
It’s a heavy paradox, a self-made trap
When survival gets mapped on a corporate track
Millions of stories lost to the grind
Leaving the madness and the numbers behind
No glorification, just the truth on display
Shining a light on a better way
We keep our feet moving, we keep the code tight
Walking out of the dark and into the light.

[Chorus]
But we’re still moving on the road to Zion
Heart of a soldier, grip of a lion
Through the daymares and the heavy smoke
Holding the truth that the system broke
Give thanks for the light, give thanks for the path
Stepping away from the cold machine's wrath.

[Outro]
Just education...
No fiction, just the friction.
Love, peace, and virtue on the road.
Fade out on the acoustic guitar...

You can drop the style prompt into the style box and paste these lyrics in to see how it flips that haunting acoustic energy. Do you want to adjust the tempo or lean a bit more reggae-roots with the lyrics before you run it?

at first i tried changing the chrous :

[Chorus]
But we’re still moving on the road to Zion
trodding like a soldier, heart of a lion
Through the daymares and the heavy smoke
Holding the truth that the system broke
Give thanks for the light, blessed to have a path
Stepping away from the cold machine's wrath.

update

and then I change the first verses, and then the second. You can see the lines written by GG and the lines written by me. Slight changes too.

And after a few attempts on suno, a slight change here and there, this the result :
