ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Stan Iredale, though in the creative world, most people know me as Banton.

I am a songwriter, music producer, digital artist, and a self-described struggling “do-gooder” with a heart and a history to match. Based out of Wolverhampton, England, this space is the central hub for everything I create—from heavy, rhythmic reggae and dancehall tracks to raw digital art and reflective essays on the world we live in.

The Music & The Mindset

Music has always been my anchor and my megaphone. Over the years, I’ve penned and produced over a hundred songs, heavily influenced by the raw energy of reggae, roots, dancehall, and 90s-style hip-hop. For me, a track isn’t just about a heavy bassline or a catchy hook; it’s a vehicle for a message. Whether I’m collaborating with fellow artists or working late hours in the studio, my goal is to create music that carries weight, tells a story, and speaks truth to power.

That same energy bleeds into my digital art and writing. I don’t care for the polished, superficial, or corporate. I prefer things with texture, history, and grit—art that isn’t afraid to look at the cold, systemic walls of the world, while stubbornly looking for the green sprouts of hope breaking through.

Why I Build

I’ve spent a lifetime navigating the sharp edges of the world. I know what it’s like to fight the exhausting, uphill battles to protect people, community, and humanity’s softest spaces from its coldest systems. I’ve worn many hats—from community housing advocacy to building pirate radio studios on rooftops back in the day—and every single one of those chapters taught me that collective action and real human connection are the only things that make the struggle worth it.

Banton.org is my independent corner of the internet. It’s a completely self-built, ad-supported, and self-managed archive of my creative expression. No corporate algorithms, no social media noise—just pure, unfiltered music, art, and thought.

We are all on a road to Zion. Some call it a train, but either way, it’s the path of life. If you’ve taken the time to listen to the tracks, or if you plan to hit play soon, thank you—it’s always appreciated. Thanks for sharing the journey, and I wish you nothing but virtue, love, peace, and happiness on yours.

oh, you thought it was just one

This isnt glorification, this is education.
