My new #1 song

For a very long time, my top three songs have been the same. Quite simple too.
1. Nadine Sutherland – Pair of Wings.
2. Bob Marley – Redemption Song.
3. Every other tune I consider an anthem.

…….. and I never thought that would change. A few days ago, it changed.

The number one spot now goes to Ras Gramps Morgan, of the great Morgan Heritage Family.

This is for me, never a decision taken lightly. It wasn’t even a decision. It was a process of realisation. No elimination. Nadine’s anthem and of course Bob’s anthem take no hits, lose no points, suffer no loss in this happening.

I feel myself talking about these songs like they are less than they are. Like I should grammarly it up and add various nuances and inflating respectful words but then that feels disrespectful to say so I have to let the words pour out as they come.

Nadine’s song is listed on my own youtube channel and Nadine herself knows. I can only imagine how Nadine feels, when she reads the comments people have written on it. Those comments make me glad I shared it for people to hold tight. If you are unsure, just click play and you will realise. My love goes out to one and all on this song.

As for the absolute anthem from Bob, I can’t even begin to talk. There is really nothing I need to say because the song speaks for itself. Now while the official Bob Marley channel hosting this song has gained it 27 million views, there are other channels hosting it that have upped that figure to the hundred plus million views, which I am sure you are not shocked to hear.

I realised both of my top two songs were historically speaking. Sure, they educate and inspire for the tomorrow thinking but speak mostly of the past. I realised Gramps’ song is more so directly inspiring for the future and speaking of today and in such a wonderful way. I realised I needed, after all these years, to make that my number one song.

I have shared this song to angels, the type of people the song speaks of. They appreciated it.

And that’s who the music is for…. people like you.

After leaving school, I started working at a reggae music store and it all went mhad from there. As a result those closest to me say I have a black heart because they know I truly love reggae music to my soul. Bless up to one and all who feel the way I do.
