This music section is for 3 points. Music I love, music I promote and mix and music I write. Some of this music is seen worldly, millions of times, while others are out there but not so well seen.

If you don’t know already, Banton spent roughly 30 years loving and promoting reggae music, and in some ways, few have. Aged 16, working in Genesis Records, playing music on pirate stations and legal internet stations, but also engineering stations, both pirate and internet.

Now at more than 50 years of age, Banton found he could turn his heart to writing songs.

You will already see some examples of this on the site here, but on his youtube channel is where most of it sits, for the world to hear. Granted, the system doesn’t help promote them so we rely on word of mouth and sharing to get them out there.

Every song released is written by and partially directed by Banton.

All the songs are made into demos using AI and many of them are of a standard that they can be played on radio and sound absolutely great thundering in Banton’s car sound system.

“I have at this point written more than 70 songs, most of which are in the public domain and a few remain privately unreleased at this time.”

An example of an unreleased riddim is the 7 Day Riddim – This currently sits under lock and key awaiting a release permission on one song that is about a loved one and the family have been given the blessing of deciding if that tune can release. Once that is decided, that whole riddim will release, with or without it.
