Banton’s Album – In creation, from creation

At this point I am thinking about the album cover art. I have nothing in mind but what is set so far, is set. So I have that to work from. I have a plethora of artwork in existence already and an insane ability to tap into AI resources and make that work too. But in all of this, it is highly important to me to have an element of me in every part of this project so the collaboration has some identifiable soul, of course mine, but not only mine, those who came before me, educated and influenced me.

It has taken over 3 decades loving reggae music, a yearning to create and now an added ability of technology to use as tools to advance and maybe get this to a place of completion. But even when it is considered complete, in itself, it’s not the end of the projects dream.

Every song is written by me entirely. Every song is then generated with prompt manipulation, trial and error until a production is gained that is acceptable to partake in the album. But THEN : I quietly hope and dream that existing or even new real world artists want to take what I have created and put their own flavour and soul into it. This is a wonderful dream to me but I am reserved to know that it may never happen. And yes, I am thinking of all the collabs possible because of all the talent out there, I am willing to consider anything as long as it is blessed. The other day I was hearing Sasco’s voice adding a wealth of fire to something I was working on, things like these, are mere dreams to me because people like Sasco are to me, the best of the best.

Further to this point, there are now 6 songs in the crocus basket, the album is around half complete. I am not set on it being a 12 track album but I am happy if that is what it turns out to be.

I truly hope you like this project. I know it is AI and I know the uneducated will hate it but the AI part is being used as a tool and nothing more. The dream is to take this music even further if that is possible.

If not, then so be it. I am enjoying this and I am proud of the results so far as well as my intentions thereafter. Furthermore, speaking to various noble people around me, the feedback I am getting is truly positive. They are encouraging I continue.

…..and one things for sure, I put my heart into this.
